The government is preparing a new nationwide campaign to expand its use. According to reports, the campaign, now called PNG Drive 3.0, is expected to launch in September 2026. The government's goal is to provide PNG gas connections to every possible household.
This central government campaign will specifically provide connections to households in areas where piped natural gas connections exist, but residents have not yet obtained a PNG gas connection. Once this facility is available, there's no need to book cylinders every month.
