Bollywood couple Yami Gautam and Aditya Dhar have found themselves at the centre of speculation after reports suggested that they were planning to leave Mumbai and permanently settle in Himachal Pradesh with their son.
The reports quickly gained attention, particularly after claims emerged that the couple could move into a century-old ancestral-style property in Himachal.
However, Aditya Dhar's team has now responded to the speculation and made it clear that the couple has no such plans.
Are Yami and Aditya really moving to Himachal?
Reports had suggested that Yami Gautam and Aditya Dhar were considering shifting their permanent base from Mumbai to Himachal Pradesh.
Yami's strong connection with the state added credibility to the speculation for many fans. The actress was born in Himachal Pradesh and has frequently spoken about her attachment to the region.
One report further claimed that Yami had acquired around 25 acres of land along with a nearly 100-year-old heritage property in Gohar.
This led to speculation that the couple was preparing to move away from Mumbai and adopt a quieter lifestyle in the hills.
Aditya Dhar's team dismisses the reports
Aditya Dhar's team has now rejected the relocation claims.
When approached for clarification by SCREEN, a member of the filmmaker's team reportedly responded, "No. Who is sending this news?"
The response makes it clear that reports suggesting Yami and Aditya are permanently relocating from Mumbai to Himachal Pradesh are not accurate, according to the filmmaker's team.
The team also dismissed claims surrounding the alleged property purchase and permanent move.
Why did the rumours gain attention?
Yami Gautam's association with Himachal Pradesh made the reports particularly believable to some fans.
The actress has maintained a close relationship with her roots, and celebrity couples choosing quieter locations away from Mumbai frequently attract public attention.
However, spending time in one's hometown or owning property there does not necessarily mean permanently shifting away from Mumbai.
For now, the couple appears to have no confirmed plans to change their primary residence.
Aditya Dhar riding high on professional success
On the professional front, Aditya Dhar has remained in the spotlight following the success of his recent films Dhurandhar and Dhurandhar: The Revenge.
The two films were released within a relatively short period and reportedly achieved enormous worldwide box-office numbers.
The filmmaker has consequently remained one of the most talked-about names in the industry.
Yami Gautam preparing for Nayi Naveli
Yami Gautam, meanwhile, is preparing for the release of her upcoming film Nayi Naveli.
The film is scheduled to arrive in theatres on October 16 and has already generated interest among her fans.
Yami and Aditya were also recently honoured with a National Film Award for their work associated with Article 370, adding another major achievement to the couple's professional journey.
Mumbai remains home for now
Despite the viral speculation, there is currently no confirmation that Yami Gautam and Aditya Dhar are planning to leave Mumbai permanently.
With Aditya's team directly rejecting the reports, the claims about the couple shifting to a century-old property in Himachal Pradesh appear to be unfounded for now.
While Yami's connection with Himachal remains strong, fans shouldn't expect the Bollywood couple to say goodbye to Mumbai just yet.
