The suicide of three minor sisters in Ghaziabad has shocked the entire nation. Following this tragic incident, a police investigation has revealed that their deaths were linked to a Korean online “love game” to which they had long been addicted. Officials say the game severely affected their thinking, mentality, and understanding of reality.

What happened that night? - A very traumatic event
According to police, the incident occurred in the Sahibabad area of Ghaziabad. The three sisters, aged 16, 14, and 12, went into their home’s prayer room after midnight. They then locked the door from inside, used a chair to reach the window, and then jumped one by one from the ninth floor. All three died on the spot. The incident came as a shock to the entire area.

Shocking truth found in diary
Police found a diary belonging to the girls at home, which contained shocking writings. The diary contained apologetic notes, numerous drawings and sketches, and repeated references to Korean culture and the fantasy world of games. Police say the writing clearly indicates the girls began to consider themselves “Korean princesses,” not Indians. This mental state developed gradually after COVID-19.

What is this ‘Korean Love Game’ after all?
According to Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Atul Kumar Singh, the game is task-based, in which players adopt a fictional character and complete various missions. However, it’s not yet clear which app it was. Police are conducting a forensic examination of the girls’ phones to identify the exact game.

Addicted to games for 2-3 years, parents worried
Investigations revealed that the three sisters had been addicted to the game for approximately 2-3 years. They spent most of their time playing mobile phones together. Recently, their parents had tried to reduce their mobile phone use. It is believed that this restriction had caused them severe mental distress. Their father later stated that he was unaware of the game’s “dangerous tasks.” He also didn’t know that his daughters had begun dreaming of going to Korea.

What is the police saying?
Trans-Hindon DCP Nimish Patil said the suicide note doesn’t name any specific app, but it clearly shows the girls were deeply influenced by Korean culture. An eyewitness told ANI that he saw one girl jump first, and the other two fall while trying to save her. However, police are still investigating all aspects.

Girls had also left school
According to a report, the three sisters hadn’t been attending school regularly since COVID-19. They weren’t ready to give up this Korean game, which had become a huge part of their lives.

The investigation is still ongoing
The police are trying to find out how much the addiction to online games affected his mental condition.

Did someone give them dangerous tasks?

And was this game a direct incitement to suicide?
