Heated Exchange in Parliament Complex: Rahul Gandhi Calls Ravneet Bittu ‘Traitor’, Union Minister Hits Back

A sharp verbal spat broke out in the Parliament complex on Wednesday between Congress MP and Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi and Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu, drawing attention from political circles.

According to sources, Rahul Gandhi referred to Ravneet Bittu as a “traitor” during the encounter. Responding strongly, the Union Minister reportedly told Rahul Gandhi that he was an “enemy of the country.” The exchange quickly escalated, reflecting the growing political tensions between the two sides.

Witnesses said that after making the remark, Rahul Gandhi extended his hand for a handshake and addressed Bittu in a sarcastic tone, saying, “Hello brother, my traitor friend. Don’t worry, you’ll be back.” However, Bittu refused to shake hands and responded sharply to the comment.

Ravneet Singh Bittu, who was earlier associated with the Congress, joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ahead of the 2024 general elections. His switch in allegiance has remained a point of contention for the Congress leadership.

The incident has sparked political reactions, with leaders from both parties trading accusations, further highlighting the charged atmosphere within and around Parliament.
