Following the inauguration, the leaders visited several stalls, showing special interest in startups by women entrepreneurs and local products.

Running from September 25 to 29, the event will host over 2,500 exhibitors from 75 countries. The expo features dedicated halls for different sectors, highlighting unique products from various districts of Uttar Pradesh under the One District, One Product scheme. This initiative provides a global platform for local artisans and entrepreneurs while offering investors a comprehensive view of the state’s diverse offerings.

The trade show reinforces initiatives like Make in India, Vocal for Local, and Atmanirbhar Bharat, showcasing startups, agriculture technology, handicrafts, manufacturing, and technology sectors. It also serves as a platform for investment, partnerships, and strategic discussions, attracting policymakers, industry experts, and investors from India and abroad.

A key highlight of UPITS 2025 is the emphasis on women entrepreneurs. Prime Minister Modi interacted with women stall operators, praising their innovations and contributions, underlining their crucial role in Uttar Pradesh’s economic growth.

Experts note that the event offers a window into Uttar Pradesh’s economic future, presenting its talent, production capabilities, and industrial infrastructure to the world. The trade show could play a pivotal role in establishing the state as a preferred destination for global investment and trade in the coming years.
