Bank holidays next week: Banks will remain closed for four days in the week starting tomorrow, August 24. Bank branches will remain closed on Eid-e-Milad and Rakshabandhan.

Bank holidays next week from August 24 to 30, 2026: Today is Sunday, as SBI, HDFC, ICICI, PNB, and all other public and private sector banks are closed. A new week begins tomorrow. Bank branches will be closed for a total of four days between August 24 and 30 due to festivals and weekly holidays in various states across the country.

According to the RBI's holiday calendar, there are three regional bank holidays this week, from August 24th to 30th. Bank branches will be closed for four days this week, but will operate normally on normal working days. Banks will be open on Saturdays this coming weekend, as August 29th is the fifth Saturday of the month.

August 25, Tuesday – Banks in Kerala and Andhra Pradesh will remain closed on account of Milad-un-Nabi or Milad-e-Sharif (birthday of Prophet Muhammad) and Onam.

August 26, Wednesday – Banks in Maharashtra, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand, Telangana, Manipur, Jammu & Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh, Kerala, Delhi, Bihar, Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand will remain closed on account of Eid-e-Milad, Barawfat or Milad-un-Nabi (birthday of Prophet Muhammad) and Thiruonam.

August 28, Friday - Banks will remain closed in Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Sikkim, Rajasthan, Jammu and Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh, Kerala and Himachal Pradesh due to Rakshabandhan.

August 30, Sunday – There will be a weekend holiday.

Digital services will remain operational

While customers won't be able to access services in-person on bank holidays, online services will remain operational. Online banking, mobile banking apps, internet banking, UPI, and ATM services will operate 24 hours a day without interruption.

Next week, between August 31st and September 6th, banks will be open for five to six days. Only Friday, September 4th, will be a holiday for Janmashtami. During this time, banks will remain open in Ahmedabad, Aizawl, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Dehradun, Gangtok, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jammu, Kanpur, Kochi, Kolkata,LucknowSeveral cities, including Patna, Raipur, Ranchi, Shillong, Shimla, Srinagar, Thiruvananthapuram, and Vijayawada, will be closed. This will be followed by a weekend holiday on Sunday, September 6th.
