This will help the government determine whether people are running multiple connections under the same name. Under the Delhi government's new initiative, Aadhaar card numbers will be required to be shared with power companies and the Delhi government for electricity subsidies. This will identify electricity consumers receiving electricity subsidies.  

If electricity subsidy money is transferred to a bank account in the future, the government will only provide subsidy benefits for one meter per person. Currently, the government provides subsidy based on the meter's CA number.
