PM Modi Inaugurates India Mobile Congress 2025: Over 400 Companies to Participate in Asia’s Largest Tech Event

The much-awaited India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2025, Asia's biggest telecommunications, media, and technology forum, was inaugurated today by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Yashobhoomi International Convention Center, New Delhi. The event, running from October 8 to 11, carries the theme “Innovate to Transform,” focusing on India’s leadership in the digital economy and emerging technologies like 6G, satellite communications, quantum computing, cybersecurity, and AI.
IMC 2025 will feature participation from over 400 companies, around 7,000 global delegates, and approximately 150,000 visitors representing more than 150 countries. Delegations from nations including Japan, Canada, the UK, Russia, Ireland, and Austria are attending, reinforcing India’s international partnerships in technology. The event will showcase over 1,600 new use-cases across telecom, AI, smart mobility, clean technology, semiconductors, and more through more than 100 sessions and 800 speakers.
Union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia highlighted the recently issued three satellite communication (SATCOM) licenses and announced a SATCOM Summit focusing on extending satellite connectivity to rural and remote areas, aiming to bridge digital divides while emphasizing data security and privacy.
The event also features summits on artificial intelligence and cybersecurity, reflecting the government's push to promote responsible AI deployment and safeguard data for 1.2 billion users. A dedicated IMC Aspire Program will bring together 500 startups and over 300 investors, serving as a major platform to accelerate funding and collaboration in India’s burgeoning startup ecosystem.
Prime Minister Modi praised India's rapid technological progress driven by innovators, startups, and government support, underscoring IMC 2025 as a global platform signifying India’s rise as a digital and technological powerhouse poised to lead the world in next-generation technologies.
