HAL Recruitment 2026: Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), the country's public sector defense organization, has presented a great opportunity for candidates holding engineering degrees. HAL has issued a notification for recruitment to the posts of Design Trainee and Management Trainee. Under this, appointments will be made for 120 posts. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online in the career section of HAL's official website halindia.co.in. Online applications for these posts have started from July 29. Candidates wishing to apply can apply till 2.00 pm on August 14.

Description of posts

Design Trainee (60 positions): This position will be filled at HAL's Research and Development (R&D) centers. Candidates with degrees in engineering disciplines such as aeronautical, electrical, electronics, instrumentation, mechanical, computer science, and metallurgy are eligible to apply.

Management Trainee (60 positions): These positions are for production, overhaul, and service divisions. Candidates from Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Civil, Production, Metallurgy, and Computer Science streams are eligible. Selected candidates will be deployed to various HAL units located in Bengaluru, Tumkur, Hyderabad, Nashik, Koraput, Barrackpore, Lucknow, Kanpur, and Korwa.

Educational Qualification and Age Limit

Educational Qualification: A B.E. or B.Tech. degree in the relevant engineering branch with a minimum of 70% aggregate marks is required. The minimum marks for candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Persons with Disabilities (PwBD) categories are 60%. Candidates in the final year or final semester of their B.E./B.Tech. are also eligible to apply, provided they have their degree certificate by the time of the interview.

Age Limit: The maximum age limit for Unreserved (UR) and EWS candidates is 28 years as on August 14, 2026. Age relaxation will be applicable for reserved categories (OBC-NCL, SC, ST, PwBD) as per rules.

Stipend (Salary): Selected candidates will be given a starting basic pay of Rs 50,000, variable DA and other allowances during the training period.

Selection Process: Candidates will be selected based on a Computer Based Online Examination (CBT) and Personal Interview. The written examination is scheduled to be held on September 5th and 6th, 2026.

Application Fee: The application fee for General, OBC, and EWS category candidates is ₹ 500. SC, ST, Persons with Disabilities, and HAL internal employees are completely exempted from the application fee.
