Ladli Behna Yojana: Mohan Yadav to Present a Gift Worth ₹1,835 Crore to the State's 'Sisters'; ₹1,500 to be Credited to Accounts on this day

Ladli Behna Yojana 36th Installment: There's great news for more than 1.25 crore women in Madhya Pradesh. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav is going to release the 36th installment of the "Chief Minister Ladli Behna Yojana" on May 13th.

Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will gift Rs 1835 crore to crores of women of Madhya Pradesh on May 13. CM Mohan Yadav will release the 36th installment of the scheme to 1.25 crore 'Laadli Bahinas' of the state from Narsinghpur. During a program organized in Gotegaon of Narsinghpur district, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav will transfer a total amount of Rs 1835 crore 67 lakh to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries of 'Chief Minister Laadli Bahina Yojana' through a single click.
When was the 'Chief Minister Ladli Behna Yojana' started?

The Mohan Yadav government in Madhya Pradesh launched the "Chief Minister Ladli Behna Yojana" in June 2023. 35 monthly installments of this scheme have been successfully transferred to beneficiaries' accounts through April 2026. The 36th installment will now be released in May 2026.



A total amount of Rs 55,926.51 crore has been directly deposited in the accounts of women through DBT from June 2023 to April 2026.

The scheme amount has been increased from Rs 1000 to Rs 1500 per month.

At the beginning of the scheme, each eligible woman received Rs 1,000 per month. This amount was increased to Rs 1,250 per month in October 2023. Subsequently, starting in November 2025, the amount was increased again to Rs 1,500 per month.

How much did the state government spend on the Ladli Behna Yojana?

Under the Ladli Behna Yojana, from June 2023 to April 2026, the Madhya Pradesh government has deposited a total of Rs 55,926.51 crore in the accounts of women through 35 installments.

  • 14,726.05 crore in the financial year 2023-24.
  • 19051.39 crore in the financial year 2024-25.
  • An amount of Rs 20318.53 crore was spent in the financial year 2025-26.
  • In the financial year 2026-27, an amount of Rs 1830.54 crore has been allocated till April 2026.

For the financial year 2026-27, the government has made a huge budget provision of Rs 23,882.81 crore for this scheme.

The scheme benefits a wide range of women, including rural, tribal, urban, Kalyani, divorced, and abandoned women. Direct deposits into eligible women's active and Aadhaar-linked bank accounts make the process completely transparent and quick. The state government has brought joy and happiness to women's lives by providing additional financial assistance on various special occasions and festivals.
