Smartphone brand Infinix is set to make a major shift in its hardware strategy with the launch of the Infinix Note 60 series, marking the first time the company will use Qualcomm Snapdragon processors in its Note lineup. This move has been officially confirmed and signals a new performance-focused direction for the brand, which has traditionally relied on MediaTek chipsets.
Snapdragon Power Comes to Infinix Note Series
The upcoming Note 60 series is expected to include three models — Note 60, Note 60 Pro, and Note 60 Ultra. Among them, the Infinix Note 60 Pro has been teased with the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 5G processor, a capable mid-premium chipset known for better efficiency and stable performance. This transition to Snapdragon is being seen as a strategic partnership aimed at improving hardware-software integration and overall user experience.
Infinix CEO Tony Zhao described the collaboration with Qualcomm as an important step toward delivering stronger innovation, especially for users who demand smoother multitasking and gaming performance.
Premium Display, Battery, and Fast Charging
The Note 60 Pro is expected to feature a 1.5K resolution display with a 144Hz refresh rate, offering a smoother and sharper visual experience. Powering the device will be a large 6500mAh battery, paired with 90W fast charging, ensuring long usage times and quick top-ups.
Adding to its premium appeal, the phone will be available in Silk Green, Solar Orange, and Torino Black color options and will feature a unique Rear Matrix Display design on the back panel.
Satellite Connectivity for All Models
One of the most notable highlights of the Note 60 series is the confirmation of satellite communication support across all variants. This feature could allow limited connectivity even in areas without traditional network coverage, making it a standout offering in its segment.
Global Launch Plans
The Infinix Note 60 Pro is expected to launch first in select global markets, including Nigeria, with wider availability likely to follow. With Snapdragon performance, high-refresh-rate displays, and next-gen connectivity features, the Note 60 series aims to position Infinix as a more performance-driven smartphone brand in the competitive mid-range market.
