Headline: Pakistani Legend Tanvir Ahmed Claims Naturally Talented Players Avoid Training, Names Big Cricket Stars

Former Pakistan fast bowler Tanvir Ahmed has sparked controversy with his recent comments about some of cricket’s biggest names. Following Pakistan’s disappointing 55-run loss to South Africa in the first T20I — after already losing the Test series — Ahmed made a striking claim on PT Sports. According to him, players who are naturally gifted often avoid physical training because they rely heavily on their innate abilities.

Tanvir Ahmed explained, “Naturally talented players have everything so perfect that they don’t feel the need for extra effort. That’s why they usually stay away from physical training.” He didn’t stop there — Ahmed went on to name several cricketers who, in his opinion, fit this category. The list included Brian Lara, Virender Sehwag, Inzamam-ul-Haq, Vivian Richards, Rohit Sharma, Yuvraj Singh, and Saeed Anwar. The clip of his statement has since gone viral on social media, drawing mixed reactions from fans.

Interestingly, Tanvir also came to the defense of Pakistan’s current star Babar Azam, who has been struggling for form recently. Despite Babar’s poor performances in the South Africa series — scoring just 23 and 42 in the first Test, 16 and 50 in the second, and a duck in the first T20I — Tanvir described him as a “naturally talented player.”
