The state government has made a significant announcement for the people of West Bengal. This is a welcome relief for the poor, already suffering from inflation during the festive season.

According to reports, the Suvendu Adhikari government in West Bengal has announced a 50% subsidy on sugar, flour, and semolina for approximately 20 million families. The BJP government will distribute these items through the Public Distribution System (PDS). Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari recently announced this.

Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari announced that in October, eligible families will receive 1 kg of sugar for ₹30, 1 kg of flour for ₹19, and 500 grams of semolina at a 50% subsidy.
