The government has decided to extend the benefits of these new rates to employees starting January 1. The government has increased the DA and DR rates by five percent. For those receiving a salary or pension based on the pre-revised basic pay structure, the DA and DR rates have been increased from 257 percent to 262 percent.

However, for employees and pensioners covered under the Revised Basic Pay Structure, the government has increased this rate from 58% to 60%. This decision by the state government is expected to benefit 50,000 employees and pensioners. This is a significant gift for employees ahead of the Diwali festival.
