It often takes time for employed people to check their PF account balance and claim status. To check their PF balance, they first need to log in to the EPFO website. However, they often don't remember their Universal Account Number (UAN) or face other difficulties. This prevents many from doing so. Now, the Central Employees' Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) has found a solution. According to this, with just one click, EPFO members will receive their PF balance and full transaction information on WhatsApp.
What is this facility?
This new facility will allow people to access their PF account information in just a few seconds. This facility will be available in local languages. This will allow employees to access the service on WhatsApp. The central government is digitizing EPFO services. Digital services will be available more easily and quickly. WhatsApp service will be launched for this purpose. EPFO operates under the Ministry of Labor and Employment. UPI and ATM facilities will soon be available for EPFO members.
How to check PF balance on WhatsApp?
The EPFO is announcing an official number for WhatsApp services. EPFO members will be able to access the service by sending a "Hi" message to that number.
1. First of all, you have to send a message like Hello, Hi to the official number of EPFO.
2. After that, the EPFO system will verify the user's mobile number.
3. Users will need to select an option on WhatsApp and indicate what information they want about PF.
4. Information about PF will be given here.
Through this facility, you can get information about your PF balance. Details of the last 5 transactions can be seen. Claim status information can be found here. You will also get information about the amount left in the account and how much can be withdrawn. All this information can be easily found on WhatsApp. Of course, this feature will depend on the smartphone. Currently, some people use missed calls to get PF related information. Or they use the Umang app. To get PF related information on WhatsApp, only the official number of EPFO should be used. Also, do not share information like OTP and password of this service with anyone.
