ECINET: The Election Commission of India has launched a significant initiative to further modernize and integrate India's electoral system. The Election Commission of India officially launched ECINET, a digital platform that integrates more than 40 election-related apps and portals into one platform. The platform was unveiled during the ongoing India International Conference on Democracy and Election Management (IICDEM).

India offers cooperation to Election Commissions around the world

At the launch of ECINET, Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar offered cooperation to election management bodies (EMBs) around the world. He said that the team that developed ECINET could work with election commissions in other countries to develop similar platforms, tailored to their laws and languages.

He appealed to foreign delegates to study this platform and if they wish, the Election Commission of India is fully prepared to work with them.

Available in 22 Indian languages

ECINET has been developed over the past eight years and is fully compliant with Indian election laws. The platform is available in 22 Indian languages, as well as English, to ensure easy access to election-related information for all sections of the country.

The aim is to bring 40+ apps on one platform

ECINET is designed as a one-stop digital solution, connecting citizens, candidates, political parties, and election officials on a single platform. It offers features such as voter registration, voter list search, application status tracking, candidate information, contacting election officials, booking calls with BLOs, e-EPIC download, near-real-time voting trends, and grievance redressal.
