Emraan Hashmi's Awarapan 2 continues its strong run at the box office. Even with Yash's much-awaited Toxic arriving in theatres with a huge opening, the sequel has managed to cross an important milestone at the worldwide box office.
The film has now entered the ₹200 crore worldwide club, making it another major success for Emraan Hashmi.
Awarapan 2 Earns ₹90 Lakh on Day 13
According to Sacnilk figures cited in the report, Awarapan 2 collected around ₹90 lakh on its 13th day in India.
The film's reported figures now stand at:
- India gross: ₹171.20 crore
- India net: ₹143.65 crore
- Overseas collection: ₹31.55 crore
- Worldwide collection: Over ₹200 crore
The film also earned approximately ₹25 lakh from overseas markets on Day 13.
What makes the achievement even more impressive is the film's relatively modest reported budget of around ₹45 crore. According to the report, the movie recovered its budget within just two days of release.
Toxic Arrives, But Awarapan 2 Holds On
Yash's Toxic has opened with a massive response, particularly in the Hindi market. The film reportedly crossed ₹100 crore in India on its opening day, creating significant competition for movies already running in theatres.
Despite this, Awarapan 2 has continued to attract audiences.
However, the impact of the new release can be seen in its daily collections. The film's 13th-day earnings were reportedly its lowest since release, with around 1,124 shows and approximately 27% occupancy.
From a ₹22 Crore Opening to ₹200 Crore Worldwide
Awarapan 2 began its box-office journey strongly.
The film reportedly opened with ₹22 crore on its first day. Its second-day collection jumped to around ₹33.75 crore, followed by approximately ₹26 crore on Day 3.
After that, the daily collections gradually declined:
- Day 4: ₹9.25 crore
- Day 5: ₹9.75 crore
- Day 6: ₹6.75 crore
- Day 7: ₹6 crore
- Day 8: ₹5.75 crore
- Day 9: ₹8.25 crore
- Day 10: ₹8.75 crore
- Day 11: ₹2.75 crore
- Day 13: ₹90 lakh
Despite the decline in daily earnings, the strong opening and steady performance over the following days have helped the movie reach the ₹200 crore worldwide milestone.
Can Awarapan 2 Continue Its Run Against Toxic?
The biggest challenge now is Toxic, which has entered the Hindi market with considerable momentum.
If Toxic continues to attract large audiences over the coming days, Awarapan 2 could face increased competition for screens and shows. However, the Emraan Hashmi starrer has already achieved a significant milestone and appears to have recovered its reported production cost comfortably.
