TVS Motor Company, which already enjoys a strong position in India’s sporty scooter market with its Ntorq lineup, is now gearing up to strengthen its dominance further. The company is preparing to launch a brand-new sporty scooter, expected to be called the TVS Ntorq 150, on September 1, just ahead of the festive season. This launch is strategically timed as the festive period is considered the peak time for two-wheeler sales.
Bigger, More Powerful Ntorq
While TVS has not officially revealed the specifications, teaser images hint at a larger, more performance-focused version of the current Ntorq. The new model could directly rival Yamaha Aerox 155, Aprilia SR175, and Hero Zoom 160.
Sporty Design Features
The teaser showcases a quad-projector LED headlight setup with a signature T-shaped light in the center, sleek contours, and a sporty stance, accompanied by a deep, bass-rich exhaust note — all pointing toward its performance-driven character.
Expected Key Features
-
14-inch alloy wheels on both ends (a first for any TVS scooter), promising enhanced stability and handling, even on rough terrains.
-
Disc brakes at both front and rear for improved braking efficiency.
-
A 5.0-inch TFT instrument cluster, similar to the one seen in the Raider 125.
-
150cc engine producing an estimated 12 bhp of power and 13 Nm of torque for a thrilling ride experience.
Market Impact
The launch of the Ntorq 150 could change the dynamics of the premium sporty scooter segment in India. With its bigger engine, advanced features, and aggressive styling, it is poised to attract young riders looking for performance along with daily convenience.
