Tata Punch Becomes India’s Fastest-Selling Car, Crosses 7 Lakh Sales Milestone

Deliveries of the Tata Punch 2026 facelift have officially begun across India, and the micro-SUV has already created history. Since its launch, the Tata Punch has crossed the 7 lakh sales mark, making it the fastest-selling car in the Indian market to achieve this milestone.
The Punch reached 5 lakh sales in January 2025 and went on to sell another 2 lakh units within just one year, underlining its massive popularity among Indian buyers.
Variants and Pricing
The Tata Punch is available in eight variants—Smart, Pure, Pure+, Pure+ S, Adventure, Adventure S, Accomplished, and Accomplished+ S.
Prices start at ₹5.59 lakh for the Smart petrol-manual variant and go up to ₹10.54 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top-end Accomplished+ S CNG-AMT version.
Turbo-petrol variants are priced at:

Powerful Turbo-Petrol Update
One of the biggest upgrades is the addition of a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine, borrowed from the Tata Nexon. This engine produces 120 bhp and 170 Nm of torque. According to Tata, the turbo-petrol Punch can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 11.1 seconds. This engine is offered exclusively with a manual gearbox.
NA Petrol and CNG Options
The lineup also includes a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine delivering 88 bhp and 115 Nm, while the CNG version produces 73 bhp and 103 Nm. The CNG model uses Tata’s dual-cylinder technology and is available with manual and AMT gearboxes.
