Tata EV Owners in NCR to Get Doorstep Charging as Tata.ev Partners with Hopcharge

In a move aimed at easing charging concerns for electric vehicle users, Tata.ev, the electric mobility arm of Tata Motors, has partnered with Hopcharge to introduce an on-demand mobile charging service in the National Capital Region (NCR).

The initiative is designed to support EV owners who lack dedicated home charging setups or face parking constraints in urban areas.

Charging at Your Doorstep

Under the new partnership, Tata EV customers in NCR can schedule charging sessions through a dedicated platform. Once a request is placed, a mobile charging van will arrive at the specified location and charge the vehicle on-site.

This eliminates the need for vehicle owners to visit public charging stations, offering greater convenience and flexibility. The service is particularly beneficial for residents of apartment complexes or densely populated areas where installing private chargers may not be feasible.

In a LinkedIn announcement, Tata Motors stated that the collaboration aims to provide a practical charging solution for customers without dedicated parking or home chargers. Customers have been advised to contact their nearest Tata.ev dealership for further details and information about limited-period offers.

Free Doorstep Charging Offer

As part of a promotional campaign, customers purchasing Tata electric vehicles may also be eligible for free doorstep charging services for a limited time. However, the offer is subject to specific terms and conditions.

Interested buyers can obtain detailed information through authorised dealerships or the official Tata.ev platform.

Boosting EV Adoption in Urban India

The lack of accessible and reliable charging infrastructure remains a key barrier to electric vehicle adoption in many Indian cities. Mobile EV charging services are emerging as an innovative solution to bridge this gap.

With Hopcharge managing and operating the on-demand charging vans across NCR, Tata EV owners are expected to benefit from reduced charging stress and improved convenience.

Industry observers believe such initiatives could play a significant role in accelerating electric vehicle adoption in urban India by addressing one of the biggest concerns among potential buyers — charging accessibility.
