Many responded that they could skip bathing for a week, but couldn’t go without a phone. Similarly, many people talked about going without coffee for a week. Some said they wouldn’t meet anyone for a week, but couldn’t go without a phone

These are the disadvantages of phone addiction

Phone addiction has negative effects on mental health and can exacerbate problems like depression and anxiety. Excessive phone use can lead to mood swings and the risk of social relationships being disrupted. It also promotes loneliness, which negatively impacts a person’s mental and physical health. This can also weaken a person’s self-confidence.

Be careful if you see these signs

Excessive use of phone – If you keep using the phone throughout the day, it could be a sign of addiction.
Compulsive checking – If you check your phone repeatedly to avoid boredom or for any other reason, then this can also be a sign of addiction.
If you want to remain busy on your phone only, ignoring real life activities or the real world, then this is also a sign of danger.
Apart from this, cracks in relationships due to the phone, difficulty in controlling oneself, withdrawal symptoms, less sleep or not being able to sleep properly can also be signs of smartphone addiction.
