Skoda Auto India has increased the prices of its most affordable SUV, the Skoda Kylaq. The company has raised prices by up to ₹19,295, depending on the variant. The revised prices are effective immediately, and the SUV now costs between ₹7.59 lakh and ₹12.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
Earlier, the Skoda Kylaq was priced in the range of ₹7.55 lakh to ₹12.80 lakh (ex-showroom). According to Skoda, the price hike is due to rising input costs, including higher raw material prices, foreign exchange fluctuations, and overall inflation—factors currently impacting the entire automobile industry.
Variant-wise price hike details
The Skoda Kylaq is available in four trims, and the price increase varies across them:
• Prestige AT: increased by ₹19,295 (highest hike)
• Prestige MT: increased by ₹15,341
• Signature+ MT: increased by ₹10,357
• Signature MT and Signature AT: increased by ₹10,000 each
• Signature+ AT: increased by ₹9,736
• Classic (base variant): increased by ₹4,349 (lowest hike)
Despite the increase, the Kylaq continues to remain competitively priced in the sub-4 metre SUV segment.
Rivals in the compact SUV segment
The Skoda Kylaq competes directly with some of the most popular compact SUVs in India, including the Tata Nexon, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, and Mahindra XUV 3XO.
What sets the Kylaq apart is its strong European driving dynamics and its 5-star safety rating from India NCAP. In a segment largely dominated by Indian and Korean manufacturers, the Kylaq offers a distinct build quality and driving feel.
Skoda’s most successful model in India
The Kylaq has emerged as Skoda’s most successful car in the Indian market to date. As Skoda marked 25 years of operations in India, the company also recorded its highest-ever annual sales. The Kylaq played a major role in this achievement.
In 2025 alone, over 45,000 units of the Kylaq were sold, accounting for nearly 62% of Skoda Auto India’s total sales. This strong demand has firmly established the Kylaq as a key volume driver for the brand, even as prices see a marginal upward revision.
