Honda has updated two of its popular 750cc bikes with technology that can make daily riding much more comfortable. Whether it's city traffic or long commutes, this new system promises to offer a better balance of convenience and control. Let's learn more about it in detail.
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has further strengthened its premium BigWing portfolio. The company has launched new E-Clutch versions of the CB750 Hornet and XL750 Transalp. While the engine and mechanical setup of both bikes remain unchanged, the introduction of Honda's new E-Clutch technology makes riding easier than before. With this update, the company has also revised the prices of both models. Let's take a closer look.
What is Honda E-Clutch Technology?
Honda first showcased its new E-Clutch technology at EICMA 2024 for mid-capacity parallel-twin bikes. This unique system allows riders to shift gears and even stop the bike completely without pressing the clutch lever. Its biggest advantage is in heavy city traffic, where it reduces the hassle of repeatedly pressing the clutch. Fortunately, the authentic riding feel of a manual gearbox remains intact. This feature was introduced in India last month with the NX500.
Honda CB750 Hornet E-Clutch
The Honda CB750 Hornet is powered by the same powerful 755cc parallel-twin engine, which produces 90 hp and 75 Nm of torque. Hardware features Showa 41 mm SFF-BP USD front forks, dual 296 mm disc brakes at the front, and multiple riding modes. A 5.0-inch TFT display with Honda RoadSync connectivity is also available.
Another highlight of this bike is its E-Clutch system. It makes riding much easier in heavy traffic and frequent stop-and-go situations. The CB750 Hornet also looks quite impressive.
Honda XL750 Transalp E-Clutch
It features the same new E-Clutch system. The bike is powered by a 755cc parallel-twin engine that produces 90 hp and 75 Nm of torque. This engine is ready for all types of riding, from highway cruising to rough terrain.
The bike features Showa SFF-CA USD front suspension, multiple riding modes, and a dedicated Gravel mode for better control on a variety of terrains. It also features dual LED headlights and a 5.0-inch TFT display with smartphone connectivity.
What is the price?
The CB750 Hornet E-Clutch is priced at ₹10.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The XL750 Transalp E-Clutch will cost you ₹13.20 lakh (ex-showroom). Fortunately, bookings for both bikes have already begun at Honda BigWing dealerships nationwide.
