A heartbreaking case has come to light from Rajasthan, where a 21-year-old man allegedly died by suicide after receiving an emotional message from his girlfriend. The incident occurred in Godan village under the Ahor police station area.
The deceased, Suresh Kumar Meghwal, was found hanging from a ceiling fan in his room on November 29, 2025. At the time, the police conducted a post-mortem and treated the case as suicide. However, the case took a dramatic turn nearly one and a half months later, when Suresh’s father discovered a handwritten note hidden in a cupboard.
Suicide note found after six weeks
According to the family, while arranging household items, Suresh’s father came across the letter, which was later identified as a suicide note. In the note, Suresh described his girlfriend as his first and last love. He wrote that he considered her his future wife and had dreamt of a life together. The note also mentioned that he would cry through the night when he was unable to speak to her.
The letter ended with an emotional farewell, stating that he was saying goodbye to his beloved, words that deeply shocked the family.
Allegations against the girlfriend
Following the discovery of the note, Suresh’s father filed an FIR accusing the girlfriend of abetment to suicide. He alleged that the relationship was opposed by both families because the girl was related to them, making marriage impossible. Despite repeated efforts by the family to counsel Suresh, they claim the girl continued to stay in touch with him.
The father further alleged that Suresh’s mother had even visited the girl’s house, requesting her to stop contacting their son, but the communication continued.
The message that changed everything
According to the complaint, the turning point came when the girl allegedly sent Suresh a photo of a bottle of poison on his phone along with an emotional message saying goodbye and asking him to be happy. The family claims Suresh believed that his girlfriend was about to take her own life. Disturbed and overwhelmed, he allegedly took the extreme step himself.
Case under investigation
Based on the new evidence, police have registered a case and begun investigating the allegations. Statements from both sides are being examined, and the matter is currently under legal scrutiny.
