Poco has officially announced the global launch date for its upcoming F9 series. The company is set to introduce two new smartphones—the Poco F9 Pro and Poco F9 Ultra—in the global market on September 1.

Interestingly, Poco is not expected to introduce a standard Poco F9 alongside the two premium models. The upcoming smartphones are also tipped to be global versions of the Redmi K100 series launched in China.

Poco F9 Series Global Launch Date

Poco has confirmed that the F9 series will make its global debut on September 1 at 8 PM GMT, which is equivalent to 1:30 AM IST on September 2.

The launch lineup will reportedly consist of the Poco F9 Pro and Poco F9 Ultra, with no standard F9 model expected.

Teaser images have shown the smartphones in white and dark cherry colour options. The rear panel also carries Sound by Bose branding, suggesting that Poco has partnered with Bose for audio tuning.

Powerful Displays Could Be a Major Highlight

According to leaked specifications, the Poco F9 Pro could feature a 6.59-inch QHD+ plastic OLED display with a high 185Hz refresh rate.

The F9 Ultra is expected to offer a larger 6.85-inch display with a resolution of 2608×1200 pixels.

The high refresh rates could make both phones particularly appealing to users who prioritize smooth animations and gaming performance.

Flagship-Level Processor

The Poco F9 Pro and F9 Ultra are expected to be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset.

Both smartphones could reportedly be available with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.

Some reports have also suggested that the F9 Pro could use a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5V variant, although the final processor details will only be confirmed at launch.

Photography is expected to be another major focus of the F9 series.

The Poco F9 Pro is tipped to feature a triple-camera setup consisting of:

The Poco F9 Pro is expected to pack a 6,330mAh battery, while the Poco F9 Ultra could feature an enormous 8,050mAh battery.

Both models are tipped to support 100W wired fast charging, which should help reduce charging times despite their large battery capacities.
