Diwali is approaching, and farmers across the country are awaiting the next installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. Farmers are hoping that an amount of Rs. 2,000 may be credited to their bank accounts before the festival.

With Diwali approaching, farmers across the country are awaiting the next installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM-KISAN). Farmers are hoping to receive an amount of ₹2,000 in their bank accounts before the festival, which will help them meet their farming needs. However, the government has not yet announced an official date for the 24th installment of the PM-KISAN scheme.

How much amount is received?
Under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, eligible farmer families receive financial assistance of ₹6,000 annually. This amount is transferred directly to their bank accounts in three installments, meaning farmers receive ₹2,000 in each installment. Typically, there is a gap of about four months between installments. Based on this, farmers are speculating about the date of the 24th installment.

Which farmers will not benefit?
Not everyone is eligible for this scheme. Income tax-paying farmers are excluded. Similarly, many serving and retired officials and employees of the central or state governments are also ineligible. Furthermore, professionals such as doctors, engineers, lawyers, chartered accountants, and architects, under certain conditions, are also barred from the scheme.
