Strange News: A shocking incident has come to light from Motihari, Bihar. At the SRP Memorial Hospital on the India-Nepal border, a 1.5 kilogram object was found in a woman's stomach, shocking everyone from family members to doctors.
A rare and shocking case has been reported at the SRP Memorial Hospital on the India-Nepal border. A clump of hair weighing approximately 1.5 kilograms (1 kg 500 g) was surgically removed from the stomach of a 35-year-old Nepalese woman. Medically, this condition is known as Trichobezoar, and only about 500 such cases have been reported worldwide.
Dr. Sujit Kumar, Director and Chief Physician at SRP Hospital, said that the woman had been suffering from stomach pain and loss of appetite for a long time. She sought treatment at several places, but found no relief. She then went to SRP Hospital, where a test was initiated. During an endoscopy, doctors discovered a large clump of hair in her stomach.
According to Dr. Sujit Kumar, the condition was serious and medication was beyond treatment. A team of specialist doctors then performed a successful surgery and removed the entire clump of hair from the woman's stomach. The woman's condition is stable after the operation and she is recovering rapidly. Doctors explained that this type of problem is often linked to the habit of eating hair (trichophagia) or psychological factors, in which a person inadvertently swallows hair. Over time, these hairs accumulate in the stomach and form large lumps, affecting the digestive system.
This is the third such case at SRP Memorial Hospital, although the disease is considered extremely rare globally. The successful surgery not only brought relief to the patient and his family, but has also become a topic of discussion within the medical community. Doctors have urged people to seek timely medical attention if they experience prolonged abdominal pain, loss of appetite, or any digestive problems, to avoid serious complications.
