A massive fire broke out in an institute in Aliganj area of Uttar Pradesh's capital Lucknow on Monday. So far 14 people have died in the accident, most of the deceased are students. Many students are reported to be injured. One student saved his life by jumping from the first floor. Many children were injured due to the jump. At present, the condition of many is said to be critical. As soon as the fire broke out, there was panic among the students and staff present in the building. Smoke spread throughout the building in no time, due to which people faced a lot of difficulty in getting out.
The whole scene was horrific...an eyewitness narrated the situation as seen by him.
Regarding the fire incident in Lucknow, eyewitness Aman said that a library and a computer training center operated in the building. He said that when he reached the spot, heavy smoke was coming out of the building. According to Aman, he and others together rescued 5 to 6 people safely. During the fire, one person jumped from the building to save his life, due to which he was seriously injured. He said that there is a possibility that some people are still trapped inside the building. Aman further said that the fire in the building was so terrible that it seems very difficult for the people trapped inside to escape.

After the fire broke out, the building rapidly filled with smoke and flames began to spread. Many students had to jump from the first floor to save their lives. There was chaos at the scene. People outside were calling out to the students trapped inside to get out safely, while the fire department team was busy extinguishing the fire. According to local people, seven to eight students managed to save their lives by jumping from the building. However, it is feared that some other students may also be trapped inside.
A resident of the area said the fire was believed to have been caused by a spark or a short circuit. He said several students jumped from the building to save their lives. He also suspected that 20 to 25 students could have been inside the building at the time of the incident.
