Hollywood film 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' has not only earned more than Rs 300 crore in India in 8 days, but has also become the highest grossing film of 2026 in India, surpassing Sunny Deol's 'Border 2'.

Marvel's superhero film "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" continues to perform strongly at the Indian box office. In its first week of release, the film earned so much that it became the second highest-grossing film in India in 2026. It surpassed the lifetime collections of Sunny Deol's "Border 2." Now, only Ranveer Singh's "Dhurandar 2: The Revenge" is ahead of it, and reaching figures that "Spider-Man" currently seems beyond its reach.

How much did 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' earn on Day 8?

According to data from trade tracker website Sacnilk, "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" earned a net of ₹14.20 crore in India on its eighth day of release, Thursday. This is approximately 16.5% lower than its ₹17 crore collection on Wednesday, the seventh day. After eight days, the film's total India net collection has reached ₹334.70 crore and India gross collection ₹400.21 crore. Its worldwide gross collection has reached close to ₹12,500 crore.

"Spider-Man: Brand New Day" beats "Borderlands 2"

With just eight days of collections, "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" has surpassed the lifetime India net collection of Sunny Deol starrer "Border 2."
