The Maruti Suzuki Ertiga has once again emerged as the most popular 7-seater car in India, outselling rivals such as the Toyota Innova, Kia Carens, and Renault Triber. In the first half of FY2026 (April–September), Maruti sold a total of 93,235 units of the Ertiga, reaffirming its dominance in the segment.

Although slightly down from 95,061 units sold during the same period last year, this figure still represents nearly 50% of the vehicle’s total FY2025 sales of 190,974 units. The Ertiga has now been India’s No.1 MPV for six consecutive financial years and remains the third-best-selling SUV/UV in the country, following the Tata Punch and Hyundai Creta.

The Ertiga’s popularity stems from its practicality and comfort, making it a preferred choice for large families. Its 1.5-liter mild-hybrid petrol engine, available with both manual and automatic transmissions, offers excellent performance for city driving. Additionally, the CNG variant continues to be in high demand, further enhancing its appeal.

With its combination of space, efficiency, and versatility, the Maruti Ertiga continues to set the benchmark for 7-seater cars in India.
