KTM is all set to create a stir in the two-wheeler market of India. The company has officially confirmed its new 160 Duke. According to the teaser released on social media, this powerful bike will soon be seen running on Indian roads. The special thing is that this model will be below the KTM 200 Duke and will be KTM's cheapest entry-level bike in India. With a combination of great design, powerful performance and affordable price, this bike will be a great option for those youth who are thinking of buying a sports bike for the first time in an affordable budget. Now let's know about its features and price.

Engine and performance

The KTM 160 Duke can be powered by a 160cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine. This engine will generate power between 18-20PS and torque between 15-16Nm. It is expected that this bike will be more powerful than rivals like the Yamaha MT-15 V2.

Suspension and Braking System

In KTM 160 Duke, you can get the same premium build quality as Duke 200. It can be given strong steel trellis frame and sub-frame, inverted forks and preload-adjustable monoshock suspension, which will make the riding even smoother. For braking, strong stopping power will be available with 300 mm front and 230 mm rear disc brakes. Apart from this, 17-inch alloy wheels, 110-section front and 150-section rear tubeless tires will give it excellent grip and style. Adjustable clutch and brake levers can also be available to increase riding comfort and control.

You will get premium features

The KTM 160 Duke can be given a 5-inch color TFT or LCD console along with all-LED lights. Apart from this, features like Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, music control, call and SMS alerts can also be found in the bike.

Why was the second-gen platform chosen ?

KTM has decided to use the platform of the second-gen 200 Duke instead of the third-gen Duke. The reason for this is to keep the production cost low and make the price affordable so that more riders can buy this bike. However, it will get unique color schemes and special graphics, which will give it a different identity.

How much will it cost

The expected ex-showroom price of the KTM 160 Duke can be around Rs 1.85 lakh. Its launch is likely to happen in the second half of August 2025. After launching in India, this bike will be KTM's cheapest entry-level bike.
