How is the feature?

  • If we talk about features, then Shine 100 DX has been given a wide and sculpted fuel tank, chrome decorated headlamp, bold graphics and all-black engine setup to specially enhance the style. These design elements make it more attractive than before.
  • The biggest update that sets the Shine 100 DX ahead of the Shine 100 is its LCD digital instrument cluster, which is a first in the segment. This cluster gives information like real-time mileage, distance-to-empty and service indicator. Apart from this, the DX version also gets side-stand engine cut-off and tubeless tyres, while the Shine 100 still gets tube tyres. Both bikes definitely have drum brakes and combined braking system i.e. CBS, which improves braking.

Power and Engine

  • Talking about the engine, both models have the same 98.98cc single-cylinder, air-cooled, fuel-injected engine, which generates 7.28 bhp of power and 8.04 Nm of torque. With a 4-speed gearbox, this bike gives good performance both in the city and in the village.
  • In terms of mileage, both the bikes are similar and Honda claims that both Shine 100 and Shine 100 DX give mileage of up to 65-70 kmpl. However, the Shine 100 DX gets a 10-liter fuel tank, while the Shine 100 has 9 liters. This simply means that in the DX version you will have to go to fill petrol less often. Overall, the Shine 100 DX is a great option for customers who are looking for more features and better looks at a little extra price.
