Filmmaker SP Nimbavat recently announced his upcoming project titled Honeymoon in Shillong, based on the shocking murder of Raja Raghuvanshi. The announcement stirred attention, and now Raja's elder brother Vipin Raghuvanshi has confirmed that he is heading to Mumbai to register the film’s story. He emphasized that the film will trace Raja’s life from birth to his tragic end.
Vipin revealed that the family has granted verbal permission for the film, driven by their desire to present the truth about Raja's murder. He stated, “Sonam has maligned Shillong’s name by killing Raja. We want the full truth to come out. This is about showing his journey honestly.” However, he clarified that although permission has been given, a formal agreement has not yet been signed.
Raja Raghuvanshi was murdered on May 23 in Shillong. His wife Sonam, along with her boyfriend and his aides, has been accused of orchestrating the killing. Sonam is currently in jail, and police are still investigating the motives behind the crime. Vipin and SP Nimbavat have reportedly finalized the film’s storyline, with minor changes expected in the climax.
Director SP Nimbavat has announced that the movie will feature Bollywood actors and that 80 percent of it will be shot in Indore. He also praised the strength of Raja’s family for supporting the film, saying their courage is commendable.
