Has it ever happened to you that a friend sent an important address, time, or important information in a group or personal chat, and due to the influx of messages, that important information got pushed to the top? Then, it becomes quite difficult to find it. To avoid this hassle, WhatsApp has a great 'Pin Messages' feature that lets you permanently keep any important message at the top of the chat.
The biggest highlight of this feature is that no matter how long the group or chat becomes, your pinned message will always appear at the top of the screen.
How to use 'Pin Message' feature?
This feature is very easy to use:
Open the chat or group on WhatsApp that contains the message.
Tap briefly on the message you want to pin.
Click on the three dots above and select the 'Pin' option.
Then select a time limit (e.g. 24 hours, 7 days, or 30 days) and your message will be pinned!
Important things:
Benefit in group chats: If you are the admin of a WhatsApp group, you can decide whether only the admin or all the members can pin messages in the group.
Easy access: Clicking on a pinned message will take you directly to the part of the chat where the message was originally sent.
