The couple, who tied the knot on February 26, have announced a scholarship programme for students studying in Classes 9 and 10 across 44 government schools.

The decision has drawn widespread appreciation from fans and local communities alike.


Visit to Ancestral Village in Telangana

After their wedding, Vijay and Rashmika visited the actor’s ancestral village, Tummanpet, located in Balamur Mandal of Nagarkurnool district in Telangana. Accompanied by family members, the couple performed a traditional Satyanarayan puja at their village home and hosted a community feast for local residents.

They also interacted with villagers and expressed gratitude for their blessings and support.


Scholarship Announcement Through Charitable Trust

Speaking during the visit, Vijay Deverakonda said he was delighted to celebrate his marriage in his native village and emphasised his commitment to contributing to its development.

He announced that, through the Vijay Deverakonda Charitable Trust, scholarships would be provided to students of Classes 9 and 10 studying in 44 government schools in the Achampet division. He also stated that he owns a house and farmland in the village and intends to visit frequently while gradually undertaking more welfare initiatives.

The announcement has been widely praised as a meaningful step towards supporting education in rural Telangana.

The couple’s wedding ceremony took place in Udaipur in the presence of close family members and friends. For those unable to attend, a grand reception has been planned, with several prominent personalities from the film industry expected to be in attendance.
