New Delhi: Indian opener Abhishek Sharma's thrashing of Pakistani bowlers in the Asia Cup 2025 was so severe that his name was resonating everywhere. Pakistanis haven't forgotten this defeat and are searching Google day and night for information about him. As a result, Abhishek Sharma has become the most Googled cricketer in Pakistan in 2025. Even Pakistan's most prominent cricket stars pale in comparison to Abhishek Sharma's online popularity. The situation is such that Babar Azam, known as the "King" of Pakistani cricket, along with fast bowlers Shaheen Shah Afridi and Haris Rauf, don't even feature in the top 10 Googled players. India has defeated Pakistan in all four matches this year. One of these matches was played in the Champions Trophy, while three T20 matches were played in the Asia Cup 2025. Amidst Team India's dominance, Abhishek Sharma has attracted the most attention from Pakistani cricket fans.

In the first high-voltage match against Pakistan, Abhishek smashed 31 runs off just 13 balls. He then followed this up with an explosive 74 off 39 balls in the next match. However, the Pakistani bowlers managed to dismiss him cheaply in the final.
