Vaibhav Suryavanshi has been making headlines for his explosive batting, especially his 35-ball century in the IPL. As India’s Under-19 team prepares for their one-day series in England starting June 27, another young star is emerging, often called the “second Vaibhav Suryavanshi.” What makes his story even more inspiring is that his father is a truck driver.
Meet Harvansh Singh — The Six-Hitting Sensation
Harvansh Singh Pangalia, a left-handed batsman from Kutch, Gujarat, is currently in England with the Under-19 squad. In a recent warm-up match against England, Harvansh came in at number 9 and smashed 9 sixes on his way to a blazing 52-ball century. His explosive innings helped Team India post a mammoth total of 442, leading to a dominant victory by over 200 runs.
A Rising Storm
Harvansh’s power-hitting isn’t new. Last October, he made headlines with a 117-run innings featuring 6 sixes against Australia’s youth team. He has also scored a double century in a youth Test against Australia, showcasing his ability to play both long and aggressive innings.
His batting style is often compared to Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s — dynamic, left-handed, and fearless. Many experts believe it’s only a matter of time before Harvansh makes his IPL debut.
Humble Beginnings
Harvansh’s father works as a truck driver in Canada, and the family currently resides in Brampton. From humble origins, Harvansh’s rise is a testament to talent and hard work.
