Sunlight Benefits: Why should you take morning sunshine every day? Find out why it's beneficial

Getting some morning sun exposure can be a simple step toward a healthier lifestyle. Natural morning light helps set your body's internal body clock (biological clock) to the right time. This helps the body understand when to be awake and alert and when to prepare for sleep.

Spending some time outside in natural light during the day, especially in the morning, can help your body clock function better and promote good, adequate sleep at night. You can do this by sitting outside for a few minutes in the morning or going for a short walk.

Sunlight can lower cortisol levels. The stress hormone is known as cortisol. It can increase your appetite, and according to experts, high cortisol levels lead to weight gain.
Exposure to sunlight releases the body's stores of nitrogen oxide into the bloodstream, which lowers blood pressure by causing blood vessels to dilate.

However, never look directly at the sun. Too much sun can damage your skin and eyes. So, be sure to protect your eyes and skin when sunbathing.
