The upcoming film King, starring Shah Rukh Khan and marking the theatrical debut of his daughter Suhana Khan, is already generating strong buzz ahead of its scheduled release on December 24, 2026. While fans are eagerly waiting to see the father-daughter duo on the big screen, a new update from the film’s shoot has revealed that Suhana has been actively performing action sequences.

8-Day Action Schedule in Mumbai

According to media reports, a major action schedule for the film was recently completed at Ellora Studios. The sequence was shot over eight consecutive nights and involved a massive crowd of nearly 100 background performers.

The scene was reportedly set during Vijayadashami celebrations. A grand set was built to recreate the festive atmosphere, complete with drums, vibrant colours and immersion-day energy. Both Shah Rukh and Suhana were part of the intense shooting schedule.

Suhana Performs Her Own Stunts

What has surprised many fans is that Suhana Khan performed several action stunts herself during the shoot. The sequence is said to be one of the film’s key moments, highlighting her character in a powerful action avatar.

This marks the first time Suhana will share screen space with her father Shah Rukh Khan in a theatrical film, making the project even more special for audiences.

Big Star Cast Joins the Film

Apart from Shah Rukh and Suhana, the film reportedly features a strong ensemble cast including Rani Mukerji, Abhishek Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Anil Kapoor, Arshad Warsi, Raghav Juyal, and Akshay Oberoi.

Reports suggest that Abhishek Bachchan will play the main antagonist in the film.

Change in Director

The project was initially planned as a film centred on Suhana Khan and was supposed to be directed by Sujoy Ghosh. However, the direction later shifted to Siddharth Anand, known for directing blockbuster action films like Pathaan.

So far, only Shah Rukh Khan’s salt-and-pepper look from the film has been revealed, while the makers are keeping other visuals under wraps.

High Expectations After SRK’s 2023 Success

Shah Rukh Khan last appeared in blockbuster films Pathaan and Jawan in 2023, both of which crossed ₹1000 crore globally. With King, fans expect another massive cinematic spectacle.
