After Harmanpreet Kaur stepped down as captain of the Indian women's cricket team across all formats, Smriti Mandhana has been appointed as the captain for all formats. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the squad for the upcoming Zimbabwe tour. This will be the first time the Indian women's team is touring Zimbabwe for a bilateral international series, consisting of three T20Is and three ODIs. The tour will begin on October 16.

Meanwhile, Niki Prasad and Jintimani Kalita Mandhana are new faces in the T20 squad, while Nandani Sharma has been included in the ODI squad for the upcoming series.
