In Ajmer, Rajasthan, a cruel mother killed her own three-year-old daughter. She first took her to a lakeside, spent time with her, and then threw her into the lake. Later, she pretended to the police that her daughter had been lost. However, the woman was exposed. The story that emerged shocked even the police.

The woman was divorced. The child was her first husband's. After the divorce, she was living in a live-in relationship with another man, and her daughter was also living with him. It is alleged that her live-in partner taunted her daily about her daughter. Fed up with this, the woman took this horrific step.

According to reports, the incident occurred on Tuesday night. The accused woman, Anjali Singh (28), took her daughter, Kavya, for a walk near Ana Sagar Lake. She spent several hours with her daughter there, then committed the murder.

Police said Anjali, a resident of Uttar Pradesh, was living in a live-in relationship with a man named Akhilesh in Ajmer. Fed up with his taunts, the woman killed her daughter.

Refused to take help from the police

Circle Officer Rudraprakash Sharma said, "The accused woman initially misled the police and her partner by fabricating a false story about her daughter's disappearance." Police reported that a woman was strolling along Chowpatty late at night. When a police team patrolling the area questioned her, she said, "Sir, my daughter has gone missing. I am searching for her." Police were surprised when she refused to accept police help in the search. The police team then left and examined CCTV footage of the area.

Live-in partner taunted

According to a police officer, in one footage she was seen with the child, while in the other she was alone. Police launched a search operation and recovered the girl's body in the lake on Wednesday morning. Following this, police arrested Anjali. During interrogation, the accused woman told police that her live-in partner, Akhilesh, often taunted her about the child, saying that Kavya was from his first marriage and that he could not adopt her. Circle Officer Rudraprakash Sharma said that Anjali took the extreme step of killing her daughter because she was fed up with her live-in partner's constant abuse. Police are currently taking further action in the case.
