The states for which the department has issued a rain alert include the national capital Delhi, as well as Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Kerala, Karnataka, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, and Assam.
Meanwhile, a slight change in the weather is expected in Rajasthan today. Amidst the October heat, some areas in the northern and eastern parts of the state are likely to experience cloudy skies, strong winds, thunderstorms, and light rain. The weather department has predicted such active weather conditions in Sri Ganganagar, Hanumangarh, Churu, Bikaner, and parts of Sikar today. Locally, light rain may be seen in northern areas of Churu and some northern parts of Sikar.
The highest temperature of 39.3 degrees was recorded in Pilani.
However, the weather is expected to remain dry in most parts of the state today. Meanwhile, the day temperature is expected to remain around 37 to 39 degrees Celsius in many cities. The Meteorological Department has recorded the highest temperature of 39.3 degrees in Pilani on Wednesday. The minimum temperature in Mount Abu was recorded at 14 degrees. People in the capital Jaipur are also facing severe heat during the day.
