The State Bank of India (SBI) has invited applications for the position of Probationary Officer (PO) for the 2026-27 recruitment drive. According to the official notification, this recruitment drive is being conducted to fill a total of 1,500 vacant posts in the organization.

Candidates selected through the recruitment process can be posted anywhere in India.

SBI PO Recruitment 2026: Eligibility and Vacancy Details
Applicants must have a graduation degree from a recognized university. Final-year students can also apply provisionally if they meet the eligibility criteria. The notification announces 1,500 vacancies, including reserved category positions. The age limit is 21 to 30 years as of April 1, 2026, with relaxations for eligible categories as per government regulations.

Selection Process
Candidates will be selected based on their performance in three stages:

by the main exam,
psychometric test, group exercise, and interview.
Candidates who qualify the preliminary exam will be eligible to appear for the main exam.
