RPF entered coach B1 of the Maurya Express and then opened the trolley bags of two people. What they found inside left everyone stunned!

At Ranchi station, the RPF arrested two men with marijuana on the Maurya Express. Abhishek Singh and Govind Kumar were carrying 30 kilograms of marijuana in trolley bags, estimated to be worth ₹300,000. During interrogation, they revealed that they had purchased the marijuana in Rourkela and were going to deliver it to someone in Ranchi.

On Wednesday, under the direction of Commandant Pawan Kumar, officers from the Hatia RPF post and the flying squad were conducting a search at Ranchi station. In the evening, train number 15027 (Maurya Express) arrived at platform number 3. During the search, two men were found sleeping in suspicious conditions in coach number B1.

Upon questioning, they identified themselves as Abhishek Singh, 31, son of Birendra Singh, a resident of Beluwar, Police Station Buxar, Bihar, and Govind Kumar, 33, son of Birendra Bin, a resident of Beluwar, Police Station Buxar, Bihar. Both admitted to having marijuana wrapped in brown plastic in their trolley bags.

During the search, Abhishek Singh was found to be carrying eight packets of marijuana in a sky-blue trolley bag, and Govind Kumar was found to be carrying six packets wrapped in brown plastic. Following the instructions of Assistant Security Commissioner, RPF Muri, all 14 packets were tested with a DD kit, which tested positive for marijuana.

A total of 30 kilograms of marijuana was weighed and stored safely at the Hatia parcel office. The recovered marijuana and other items were seized by SI Sadhna Kumari in the presence of Assistant Security Commissioner Muri and witnesses.

During interrogation, both men revealed that they had purchased the marijuana from Rourkela (Odisha) and were going to Ranchi bus stand to deliver it to someone else at the behest of a man named Rakesh Bin. After completing all legal formalities, both accused, along with the recovered marijuana and other items, were handed over to GRP Hatia for further legal action.

The estimated value of the seized marijuana is approximately ₹300,000. Officers and staff from the RPF Hatia post, including SI Sadhna Kumari and CT Deepak Kumar, and the Flying Team Ranchi, including ASIs Anil Kumar, HC Dinesh Prasad, CT Pradeep Kumar, and CT VL Meena, participated in the operation.
