Her mother, Madhu Chopra, recently shared her enthusiasm about the film, expressing joy over her daughter’s comeback after a long hiatus.

In a conversation with PTI, Madhu Chopra said, “I'm as excited as all of you are about Priyanka's return to the Indian film industry after such a long break. I think we're all waiting to see her in Mr. Rajamouli's film 'Varanasi.' I'm really happy and looking forward to it.” Her statement reflects the anticipation surrounding Priyanka’s collaboration with renowned director S.S. Rajamouli, known for blockbuster films like Baahubali and RRR.

Varanasi also stars South superstar Mahesh Babu in the lead, alongside Priyanka, with acclaimed actor Prithviraj Sukumaran in a key role. The film is reportedly being developed on a grand scale, with an estimated budget of ₹1,300 crore, making it one of the most expensive Indian films to date. Priyanka Chopra is said to have been paid ₹30 crore for her role.
