Operation Sindhu to evacuate Indians from Iran, first batch of 110 students reached Delhi

A group of 110 Indian students from Iran were brought to India early this morning under Operation Sindhu. All these people were brought from Iran to Armenia by road, after which they reached Delhi by flight. The flight was delayed by three hours.
Operation Sindhu: The war between Israel and Iran is increasing. Both countries are attacking each other through missiles. This is causing heavy losses on both sides. However, more loss of life and property has occurred in Iran than in Israel. More than 400 people have died here. Amidst the devastation caused by the war in Iran, there is concern among the families of Indians living there. People are living in fear for their relatives. Meanwhile, the Indian government has started Operation Sindhu for the safe return of Indians living in Iran. Indians are being brought back safely from Iran through Operation Sindhu. The first batch of students was brought to Delhi early Thursday morning.
110 Indian students return safely
Under Operation Sindhu, a group of 110 Indian students were brought to India from Iran today. Indigo's plane reached Delhi's International Airport carrying 110 students. All these people were brought from Iran to Armenia by road, after which they were brought to Delhi by flight. All the students are from Urmia Medical University. They were put on the flight on Wednesday evening. The flight was delayed by three hours.
Over 13,000 Indian students in Iran
The situation between Iran and Israel is very bad. In such a situation, the families of Indian students stranded there are pleading for help from the government. There were also large-scale protests on this issue in Kashmir, from where most of the students go to Iran. According to reports, there are more than 13,000 Indian students in Iran, most of whom are studying medicine.
Indian students brought from Iran to Delhi via Armenia
A large number of Indian students study in Iran. Preparations are going on at war level to bring them back. In this episode, the first batch of Indians living in Iran has reached India. It is known that about 110 Indian students studying in Iran's Urmia Medical University were safely brought to Armenia. All these students have now been brought to India. The first batch of students being brought from Iran to India reached India in the early hours of 19 June.
India's Foreign Ministry said that in view of the ongoing developments in Iran and Israel, a 24x7 control room has been set up in the ministry.

In a statement, the Jammu and Kashmir Students Union thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar for the timely evacuation of the students. The organization said that they hope that the rest will also be evacuated soon.
