Motorola has announced two major smartphone launches at MWC 2026, strengthening its presence across the foldable and mid-premium segments. The company introduced its first book-style foldable smartphone, the Motorola Razr Fold, alongside the Motorola Edge 70 Fusion, a device aimed at users seeking premium features at a more accessible price point.
The Motorola Razr Fold is positioned as a flagship foldable device, featuring an ultra-slim design that measures just 4.6mm when unfolded and around 9.9mm when folded. It comes with an 8.1-inch inner display and a 6.6-inch cover screen, both using LTPO pOLED technology for adaptive refresh rates and improved power efficiency. Powering the device is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset paired with an Adreno A829 GPU, up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage. The phone runs on Android 16 with Motorola’s My UX interface, and the company has committed to providing seven years of operating system and security updates.
On the imaging front, the Razr Fold features a triple rear camera setup that includes a 50-megapixel Sony LYTIA primary sensor, a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera. The device supports 8K video recording and comes equipped with dual stereo speakers enhanced by Dolby Atmos. A large 6,000mAh battery powers the foldable, supporting 80W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging. In Europe, the Motorola Razr Fold is priced at EUR 1,999, approximately Rs 2.14 lakh, and is bundled with the Moto Pen Ultra. It will be available in Pantone Blackened Blue and Pantone Lily White color options, with a wider global rollout planned in the coming months.
Alongside the foldable flagship, Motorola also introduced the Edge 70 Fusion, targeting the mid-premium smartphone segment. The device is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset and offers a near-stock Android experience. It features a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of up to 5,200 nits. The camera setup includes a 50-megapixel Sony LYTIA 710 primary sensor with optical image stabilization, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide camera with macro support, and a 32-megapixel front-facing camera.
The Motorola Edge 70 Fusion also stands out for its durability and battery performance, offering IP68 and IP69 ratings for water and dust resistance. It is backed by a 5,200mAh battery with support for 68W fast charging, making it a balanced option for users looking for strong performance, a smooth display, and long battery life without stepping into flagship pricing territory.
