Motorola is gearing up to launch a new smartphone in its Edge lineup in India. The Motorola Edge 70 Neo has reportedly appeared on Geekbench, revealing several key details about its processor, RAM and software.

Motorola has already indicated that the phone is coming to the Indian market, although the company has not yet announced an official launch date or confirmed the complete specifications.

The Edge 70 Neo is expected to succeed the Motorola Edge 60 Neo, bringing upgraded hardware and several camera and display improvements.

Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 Chipset Listed on Geekbench

The Motorola Edge 70 Neo has reportedly appeared on Geekbench 7.0.0, where it scored 723 points in the single-core test and 2,943 points in the multi-core test.

The listing suggests that the smartphone could be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 (SM763) chipset.

The octa-core processor is listed with one core clocked at 2.50GHz, three cores at 2.40GHz and four efficiency cores at 1.80GHz. An Adreno 810 GPU could handle the graphics workload.

The Geekbench listing also shows the tested handset with 6GB of RAM and Android 16. However, this may not represent the only RAM configuration that Motorola eventually offers.

Could the Edge 70 Neo Be a Rebranded Edge 70 Plus?

An interesting possibility surrounding the upcoming smartphone is that the Edge 70 Neo could be a rebranded version of the Edge 70 Plus.

The speculation comes from the fact that both phones are reportedly associated with the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset. Motorola has previously used different names for similar Edge-series devices in different markets, adding some weight to the theory.

The global version of the Edge 70 Plus is also said to use the same chipset.

However, Motorola has not officially confirmed that the Edge 70 Neo and Edge 70 Plus are the same device, so these details should be treated as speculation for now.

200MP Camera Could Be the Biggest Highlight

Previous leaks have also suggested that the Edge 70 Neo could focus heavily on photography.

The smartphone is expected to feature a triple-camera setup on the rear, with a 200MP primary camera potentially serving as its headline feature.

On the front, the phone could get a flat display with slim bezels and a centrally positioned punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera.

Display and Other Specifications

If the Edge 70 Neo follows the specifications associated with the Edge 70 Plus, it could feature a 6.78-inch display with a 144Hz refresh rate.

The screen may also come with Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection.

Other leaked specifications include:

• Up to 8GB LPDDR5X RAM

• Up to 256GB storage

• 6,500mAh battery

• 45W wired charging

• Bypass charging support

Again, these specifications have not yet been officially confirmed for the Edge 70 Neo.

Expected Colour Options

The smartphone could reportedly be launched in several colour options, including Dark Green, Light Blue, Olive Green and Pale Pink.

With a high-resolution 200MP camera, a high-refresh-rate display and a Snapdragon chipset, the Edge 70 Neo could be positioned as an attractive upper-mid-range smartphone.

For now, Motorola has yet to reveal the complete specifications, pricing or exact India launch date. More details are expected to emerge as the launch approaches.
