Mau Railway Station Row: Parcel Superintendent’s Threat Video Sparks Outrage

A fresh controversy has surfaced in Uttar Pradesh’s Mau district after a video allegedly showing a railway official threatening an on-duty RPF constable went viral on social media. The incident comes close on the heels of another recent case from Kanpur and has once again triggered debate over abuse of authority and conduct of public officials.

According to reports, the person seen in the viral clip has been identified as Rajesh Singh, posted as Parcel Superintendent at Mau Railway Station. In the video, Singh is allegedly heard using abusive language and issuing threats against RPF constable Amit Kumar Yadav, who had arrived at the station to collect a parcel sent from Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh.

The footage reportedly shows the superintendent flaunting his social status and intimidating the jawan, even threatening to harm him. Despite the provocation, the RPF constable is seen maintaining restraint and composure throughout the confrontation, a detail that has drawn praise from many viewers online.

The incident is said to have occurred when Amit Kumar Yadav, a resident of Ghosi in Mau district and currently posted with the RPF in Chhattisgarh, visited the parcel office for official work. An argument allegedly broke out over procedural issues, which then escalated into verbal abuse.

Following the video’s circulation, demands for strict disciplinary action against the Parcel Superintendent have intensified. Several social media users and public representatives have urged the railway administration to take cognisance of the matter, calling the alleged remarks unacceptable and damaging to the dignity of uniformed personnel.

As of now, railway authorities have not issued a detailed public statement, but sources indicate that the matter is under review. The incident has once again highlighted concerns around workplace conduct, accountability, and the need for respectful behaviour within government institutions.
