Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) has good news for its customers. Now, obtaining a gas connection won't be a hassle. A few months ago, people faced significant difficulties due to unavailability of cylinders, but that won't be the case anymore.
BPCL has launched a new 10 kg cylinder in the market. Any customer can now easily obtain a new connection. The service was launched by the company's Managing Director, Sanjay Khanna, and Director, Shubhankar Sen.
What's special?
According to a report in Mint, BPCL has launched a new service called "Bharat Gas Light Zip." This service provides instant LPG connections and rapid cylinder delivery. BPCL shared this information through a post on the social media platform X.
The highlight of Bharat Gas's "Lite Zip" service is its 10 kg cylinder. According to BPCL, this cylinder is much lighter than standard cylinders and more rust-resistant. The transparent main part of the cylinder makes it easy to check the gas level. Its modern design and excellent safety features further enhance its uniqueness.
How much will it cost?
BPCL first launched the "Bharat Gas Lite Zip" service in Mumbai. The company aims to expand this service to 100 more cities in 24 states by August 15, 2026. Prices for a 5 kg cylinder are available for ₹808.5. In Delhi, a 14.2 kg cylinder costs ₹942.
However, the company hasn't yet revealed the price of the 10 kg cylinder. Customers are expected to spend between ₹3,000 and ₹4,000 for a new connection, and the cylinder itself is expected to cost around ₹1,500.
